Past Experience

Dr. Lichtenstein's work examines psycho-emotional-spiritual health in the midst of living with a chronic, life-challenging illness. He has been involved in HIV care for 15 years. For three years, Dr. Lichtenstein was involved in research on the impact of meditation on end-of-life care, including guiding hospice patients in biweekly guided meditation sessions.

Interests

Dr. Lichtenstein's main passions are homeopathy and psychoneuroimmunology (mind-body medicine). He has studied and trained in biofeedback, breathwork, meditation, yoga therapy, and energetic bodywork (craniosacral, orthobionomy, Thai yoga therapy and reflexology).

Philosophy

Dr. Lichtenstein believes that education, like medicine, is an art. He views education as a co-creation in which everyone is a student on a journey of self-discovery. He believes this process pertains to that territory we call the "self" and our relationship with  others and the world. It is Dr. Lichtenstein's deepest wish to facilitate a safe, respectful and supported environment where everyone feels invited to participate in active, playful and joyful discussion, learning and self-reflection.
