Bach & Britten: holiday magic at Bastyr!
This season's holiday concert matches masterworks from two great musical geniuses, at the height of their powers: J.S. Bach's Magnificat, and Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols.
This is a musical pairing you won't want to miss. Kirkland Choral Society again partners with Philharmonia Northwest to present the Magnificat, considered by many to be one of Bach's greatest works. Britten's A Ceremony of Carols is a ray of sunshine, and with harp accompaniment sparkles with one musical gem after another. To hear both pieces, together, at Bastyr: it will make this unique concert shine brilliantly.
This performance is another example why the KCS holiday concert has become an annual tradition for so many!
